Mumbai: They are finally heading to the altar! Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D`Souza are are all set to tie the knot later this year.

While no official announcements have been made, but the two made it quite apparent about their relationship at a recent awards function in Toronto. Riteish and Genelia walked hand in hand at the red carpet of the award ceremony. Genelia’s mother who was present at the event looked at her daughter and future son-in-law proudly.

The two have never openly admitted about their romance and have maintained that they are `good friends`.

After her split with John Abraham, Bipasha Basu was dating Josh Hartnett for a short period.

Not only did they shoot a Hollywood movie together, but along the way the two became more than just friends. Josh had split with his Norwegian girlfriend Sophie Lie, while Bips was newly single after her break up with John. The two took to each other instantly. But now its confirmed that Bips-Josh romance is done for good and she’s moved on to some one else.

Noida: Model-actress and cousin of a Bollywood actor, Meera Chopra has been arrested in connection with the death of a 28-year-old married woman in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

The deceased, Ruchi Bhuttan was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her posh DLF City house. While victim Ruchi’s in-laws claimed it was suicide, her relatives suspected foul play and blamed her husband Sumit Bhuttan.

Apparently, Sumit has an extra marital relationship with Meera Chopra.

While Sumit was booked yesterday, Gurgaon police arrested model Meera Chopra today and have registered a case against her under Section 120B of the IPC.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s `Delhi Belly` is no doubt garnering moolah at the Box Office and has appealed to the youth of the nation, but the expletives used in the film’s dialogue have offended many.

An automobile company that had Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador to promote its car is now contemplating legal action against Aamir Khan for making derogatory remarks about their car in his controversial flick.

The dialogue that has scandalised the company goes like this- “This car is so bad that it looks like something that would result if a donkey f***ed a rickshaw.”

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has denied signing a film based on Chetan Bhagat`s book `2 States: The Story of My Marriage`, which is said to feature superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

“I am not in discussion with anyone regarding `2 States`. There is a great team involved, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bharadwaj and I definitely look forward to working with them at some point in the future,” Priyanka told reporters.

“However at this time, I am just committed to completing my existing projects on hand, which include Kunal Kohli`s next `Barfee`, and `Krrish 2`,” added the 28-year-old.

Mumbai: While her peers are donning bold avatars onscreen, south Indian actress Asin has said no to wearing bikini on-screen. Call it being conservative, but Asin has made it clear to the makers of ‘Housefull’ that she will not be wearing a bikini in the sequel of the film.

The first part of the hit film had Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan donning the sexy swimsuit for a song. The sequel will star Asin and Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez along with Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Ritesh Deshmukh.

Mumbai: After gaining critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Ishqiya’, Vidya Balan will not be seen in the sequel of the film. The filmmakers have approached Madhuri Dixit for the film instead.

The news has come as a surprise to many, as Vidya’s inclusion in the sequel was a forgone conclusion. The actress even attended the party where Vishal Bhardwaj announced ‘Ishqiya 2’.

While Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi will be seen in the sequel, some other actress will play the lead role.

Talking about the sexy number to a daily, Yana said, “This is one of the best songs that I have performed to and it wasn`t easy moving to it. But, what makes it all the more exciting is that it is with the Bhatt camp and I have completely enjoyed myself working with them.”

Lolo has signed an erotic thriller film with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. The film is named ‘Dangerous Ishq’ and is supposed to be a 3-D flick.

A source spoke to a daily, “Lolo never really announced her retirement even after her marriage to industrialist Sanjay Kapur in 2003. Despite being busy with her domestic life and subsequent motherhood (daughter Samaira was born in 2005, son Kiaan Raj in 2010), Karisma has always had film offers. She has remained in circulation by signing many endorsements but has now finally given the nod to Vikram`s film. His last film ‘Haunted’ 3-D did well at the Box Office. That was the clincher for her.”

Mumbai: ‘Dabangg’ hottie Sonakshi Sinha is all set to play Mandakini in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2’.

While the names of Katrina, Kareena and Deepika already doing rounds, it was revealed lately that Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi has bagged the plum project, starring opposite Akshay Kumar.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria are taking their time to choose the leading lady for ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2’. They want the girl to be perfect. Initially, they wanted a leading lady to essay the role of Mandakini. But now, they are considering Sonakshi Sinha.”

New Delhi: Ravishing Raveena Tandon, who grooved to songs like “Tu cheez badi hai mast mast” and “Kisi disco mein” in her heydays, will now be seen shaking a leg once again in `Bbuddah – Hoga Terra Baap`.

“Helllllooooo everybodyyy! Super super cool song I`m shooting for `Bbuddah… Hoga tera baap`! Chandigarh ki kudi-chandigarh ki star!! Super fun! (sic),” Raveena posted on her Twitter page.

However, the 36-year-old, who is now seen in few films only, clarifies that the song is not an item number.

Mumbai: Once lovers, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor will star together in Ranbir’s best friend Ayan Mukerjee`s next film very soon. Speculations were on about the casting of the film. There were talks about Ranbir’s ex Deepika Padukone agreeing to do the film. Then Anushka Sharma’s name had cropped up. But finally the cast has been decided for the film and Katrina Kaif has agreed to star opposite her ex Ranbir.
 
According to sources in the industry, Ayan was going back and forth about who to cast in the film. As Ranbir`s relationship with Kat had soured post break up, there were doubts about Katrina agreeing to do a film with him. Ayan, who is on friendly terms with Katrina, was eager to cast her opposite his buddy Ranbir but couldn’t do much due the strained relation between the two.

Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty, who was the first one from Bollywood to introduce the concept of Yoga DVDs in India and had once considered Baba Ramdev as her Guru, has changed her stand. The lady had sought Baba’s blessings before launching her yoga DVD and had gifted him with one of those as a token of love.
 
But now, Shilpa seems to have had differences with her yoga mentor. She is of the opinion that Baba is politically driven. She feels there is no need to agitate in the manner he held a campaign at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor’s next project ‘Dirty Picture’, which stars actress Vidya Balan as the South sex symbol Silk Smita, recently started out on its shooting schedule. However, on its very first day, the film shooting was stalled by workers union.

Apparently, the shooting went on for a stretch of 14 hours, which exceeded the norm of 8 hours and according to the rules, anything beyond eight hours is considered overtime.

The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan and Tusshar Kapoor and the work on it began just four days ago.

Mumbai: The ‘Murder’ sequel from Bhatt camp is ready and its trailers are already the talk of the town ever since its teasers hit the idiot box. Yes, we are talking about the much hyped ‘Murder 2’.

Apparently, ‘Murder 2’ was supposed to be much hotter and wilder than its prequel. But there has been a sudden revelation amongst the producers and they feel that the scorching love scenes could be too much for the small screen.

As of now, Mukesh and Mahesh are trying to lukewarm the whole steamy love scenes of the film to make it television friendly and the duo has decided to re-shoot a song in ‘Murder 2’.

The duo who were last seen together in ‘Masti’ seven years back and had made their debut together in ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ back in 2003. Ever since then, rumours have been rife about their alleged romance. But the couple has always denied their link up.

Now the much hush-hush couple is all set to work together in a romantic comedy, to be produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips.

New Delhi: Mandira Bedi, who is expecting her first child, was Thursday appointed the official brand-ambassador of Cryo-Save, a stem cell bank. In her new role, she will be involved in various strategic communication initiatives as part of an extensive brand campaign for the company.

Mandira, who married filmmaker Raj Kaushal 12 years ago, said she recently learned about the benefits of stem cell therapy, and wants to promote it.

“Parents take various steps to ensure safe and secure future of their child. One small, but very significant step towards securing the health of your child is by storing the stem cells of your new-born,” Mandira said in a press statement.

Mumbai: Madhur Bhandarkar has finally zeroed in on ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ actor, the six feet hunk Arunoday Singh to romance Aishwarya Rai in his most ambitious venture ‘Heroine’.

Rumours had it that hubby Abhishek was one of the top contenders for the role opposite Ash, but Bhandarkar settled down for Arunoday to romance the blue-eyed beauty.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “Madhur wanted to finish the casting of his film ‘Heroine’ since the film was announced at Cannes sometime back. However, after much thought, Arunoday Singh has been roped in for the film. This is his biggest break till date after ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’, ‘Aisha’ and ‘Sikandar’.”

The actor may have unwittingly bought land which legally cannot be bought or sold as it belongs to the entire village.

On Thursday, more than 250 villagers gathered at the talathi’s office in Panvel, protesting what they say is an illegal sale of their land to a political leader and actor Salman Khan.

The actor, who is embroiled in two other court cases, may be looking at a protracted legal battle again, because according to the rule book, buying or selling of land which belongs to any village is a cognisable offence.
