B-town divas Kat and Priyanka set to clash in ‘Krrish 3’
Mumbai: Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are both reigning divas of Bollywood and filmmakers are dying to cast the two bombshells together in a film.
Filmaker Shristhi Behl wanted to cast Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra together in her indian version of ‘Bride Wars’ and also director Anurag Basu`s was keen on casting these two Bollywood hotties in ‘Barfee’.
However that did not work out but according to the recent reports Kat has been added to the cast of Rakesh Roshan`s ‘Krrish-3, which means finally Kat get to work in tandem with PC!
Bipasha paired against Rana Daggubatti in ‘Dum Maro Dum’
Mumbai: Popular Telugu star Rana Daggubatti is actress Bipasha Basu`s leading man in Rohan Sippy`s `Dum Maro Dum` set in the backdrop of the drug racket in Goa.
Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan is plays the protagonist in the film, which releases on April 22.
The pairing was being kept under wraps till the initial promos and interviews. Sources insist that the makers did not want to reveal the pairing and instead were keen to build on this coy plot till the promo of a song `te-amo` was on air.
Genelia D` Souza trains in martial arts for `Urumi`
New Delhi: Bollywood`s `Girl next door` Genelia D`Souza` went all her way to perfect her turn as a sword-totting warrior in the tri-lingual film `Urumi`, with special classes in martial arts, horse riding and rowing.
The actress who recently represented the film at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, plays a Portuguese girl who falls for an Indian rebel, played by Malayalam star Prithviraj, in the film.
The 24-year-old is the lead in the multi-starrer which
has cameos by Vidya Balan, Prabhu Deva, Tabu and Amol Gupte among others and impressed director Santosh Sivan with her diligence.

Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit has moved back to industry after a sabbatical. She was in the US playing the perfect homemaker and raising two lovely kids. Now that she is back in the industry filmmakers are looking to cast her in the films and TV projects.

Sonam Kapoor walks out from the sets of ‘Mausam’
Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor might be new in Bollywood but that does not stop our petite beauty from throwing her weight around.
Buzz has it that Sonam, who is currently shooting for ‘Mausam’ in Chandigarh, had to wait for her hotel room in and when she reached the sets of the film, the actress was greeted without even a make-up artist and vanity van.
It is believed that Sonam stormed out from the sets in Chandigarh due to the disordered shoot there.
Filmmaker Anurag Basu escapes Japan quake
New Delhi: Bollywood director Anurag Basu had plans to visit Japan on the day the massive earthquake rocked that country. He escaped the calamity due to a change in plans.
Basu, who is credited for films like ‘Life in a… Metro’, ‘Gangster’ and ‘Murder’, had to attend the Osaka Asian Film Festival, where his film ‘Kites’ was to be screened.
“May GOD be with the people of Japan. I was suppose to be there today to attend osaka film festival. my travel plans were changed last moment (sic),” Basu posted on his Twitter page Friday.
Sanjay Dutt quits council seat for CM
MUMBAI: Congress MLC and MPCC general secretary Sanjay Dutt tendered his resignation from the Maharashtra legislative council to create a vacancy for chief minister Prithviraj Chavan to enter the state legislature within six months after taking oath as a CM.
Dutt, accompanied by senior Congress leaders, called on the chairman of the sate legislative council, Shivajirao Deshmukh, in his chamber in Vidhan Bhavan on Friday and tendered his resignation.
Dutt, accompanied by Chavan, had called on Congress president Sonia Gandhi at 10, Janpath, to seek her permission to resign from the council to make way for the CM. He had earlier met AICC general secretary in charge of the state Mohan Prakash and discussed organizational matters with him.

Delhi: Ex-inmate of the ‘Big Boss’ house and Pakistani model Veena Malik has received death threats from Taliban.
According to a leading news daily, the model has received a letter from Maulana Masood, Mujaheddin leader connected with Taliban, accusing her of humiliating Islam and Pakistan`s name during her stay in the ‘Bigg Boss` house.
The actress made headlines during her stint at ‘Big Boss’. The entire country had gaped at her while she had cosied up with her male co-contestants. She was criticised by the Pakistani media at that time.

Mumbai: Former Miss India World Sarah-Jane Dias, who makes her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Bachchan in Abhinay Deo`s `Game`, says that she was nervous about doing intimate scenes with her co-star in the film.
“I won“t lie…I was nervous. But Abhishek being the kind of person he is, he made it very easy and comfortable for me,” Sarah said.
The 28-year-old model-turned-actor feels this movie was perfect for her B-town entry.
Katrina Kaif’s debut kiss is back to haunt her!
Mumbai: Bollywood bombshell Katrina Kaif, who made her B-town debut in ‘Boom’ (2003), shared a steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in the film, which was later deleted due to the pressure from her former boyfriend Salman Khan.
Apparently, the filmmakers have decided to re-release the DVD of Katrina’s debut film, including her wet and wild lip lock.
Since now Salman Khan is no longer in the life of Katrina Kaif, latter’s first on-screen kiss is haunting the hot actress once again.
When it was released, ‘Boom’ did not fare well at the Box Office. However, the filmmakers are also contemplating to re-release the film because they want to encash Katrina’s newfound stardom.
John Abraham severely hurt while filming action flick ‘Force’
Mumbai: B-town hunk John Abraham injured himself while shooting a dare devil stunt in his forthcoming film ‘Force’. The actor is said to have severely hurt his back while filming a stunt where he had to jump from one freight train to another.
Film ‘Force’, a venture by Vipul Shah is a hardcore action flick. John Abraham plays the lead role. The film evidently required a lot of risky stunts one of which proved rather painful for John.
Reports confirm that John got hurt at Jogeshwari Yard where the film was being shot. John was doing a stunt in which he had to jump from a goods train to another filled with stones.

Her exact words to him were, “You can take the visuals of my body above my waist, but nothing below my waist. Arrange for a body double. Merge the two shots, mine upper and the body double’s lower, or show it separately. Do whatever you want but no visuals of my lower body.”
Amitabh Bachchan to shoot a documentary on Indian cinema
Mumbai: Bollywood’s first family seems to have taken up the cause of Indian film industry at the international front lately. Only days after Abhishek and Aishwarya returned to India after making their presence felt at the Oscars 2011 in the US, dad Amitabh Bachchan is getting ready to shoot a documentary based on Indian cinema, which will be screened at the prestigious Cannes.

Mumbai: Kashmera Shah recently posed topless for a calendar. The item girl, who left little to imagination with her bold photo shoot, has upset her actor-comedian boyfriend Krishna Abhishek.
Krishna, who is actor Govinda’s nephew, expressed his concern over her bold move. While talking to a daily, the actor said, “I haven`t seen the calendar yet. She won`t show me all the pictures. So I don`t really know how much `boob-show` is there in it. I hope she hasn`t crossed her limits. I wouldn`t want my family to be embarrassed in any way.”
Bollywood songs, dances banned in Lahore theatres
Lahore: The performing arts council in Lahore has decided to ban all song and dance performances based on Indian films because of the presence of “vulgarity” in them and to promote only classical dances in Pakistani theatre.
The decision of the Lahore Arts Council (LAC) has, however, infuriated producers and artistes who believe the council was trying to damage their business, the Express Tribune reported.
The decision was made to facilitate quality theatre, a council spokesperson said.
Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ahmad, chairman of the Commercial Theatre Producers’ Association, said: “How many films are made in Pakistan annually? From the handful that are made, how many have songs that we can use in our plays?”
Priyanka Chopra not in Dhoom 3
Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has shot down rumours that she will be working opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3.
The actress, whow ill be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf, says she has not been approached for the Yashraj film.
“I have not been approached for Dhoom 3 till now. If anything happens I would definitely let everyone know,” said the actress, who was in the city to promote her film. Priyanka, however, confirmed that she is part of Karan Johar’s Agneepath remake.
Ranbir refuses a film opposite ex-lover Deepika
Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor seems to have left his past behind and is in no mood to open a closed chapter. The actor has reportedly turned down a film which has his ex-ladylove Deepika Paduokne playing the female lead.
Director Ayaan Mukerji of the ‘Wake Up Sid’ fame was keen to cast the Kapoor lad opposite dusky hottie Deepika in his upcoming untitled flick. But RK bluntly refused only to avoid animosity at work.
And Ranbir has all the reasons to refuse a film with Dips after the lady went candid and bold about her break-up with him on Karan Johar’s talk show. Since then RK and the dimpled lass have been sharing unpleasant vibes between them.
Priyadarshan to work with Aamir on AIDS film
Mumbai: Popular film director Priyadarshan is all set to work with Aamir Khan on a film on AIDS. The director, who has worked with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in the past, has narrated his idea to Aamir which the actor loved. The director is yet to complete the script.
The film on AIDS will have no songs, no comedy and no commercial trappings at all and it is likely to be produced by Aamir himself.
Priyadarshan`s other Hindi film ‘Tezz’ is on hold and the filmmaker is more than happy to go back to his roots in Kerala and start a venture with his favourite actor Mohanlal.
