New Delhi: Fed up of congratulatory messages, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has finally spoken out about her rumoured pregnancy saying the news is not true.

“Sick and tired of all the congratulatory msgs and calls, so for the last time `I AM NOT PREGNANT`. All this is so annoying…grrrrrrrrr (sic),” Shilpa posted on micro-blogging site Twitter Thursday.

Last week, the grapevine was abuzz that Shilpa, and her businessman husband, Raj Kundra, are expecting their first child together. They tied the knot in November 2009.

Initially, Shilpa chose to deny the news in a subtle manner.

Race 2 just got hotter! With the likes of Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha already in, director duo Abbas-Mustan has roped in gorgeous actress Chitrangda Singh to join the stellar cast.

Mumbai: It’s not only Rajinikanth who is playing triple role in ‘Rana’ for Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan too is tipped to play three different characters in ‘Krrish 3’.

Apparently, Hrithik will play three characters in the superhero flick – father, son and grandson. However, Hrithik was ready to play the villain had father Rakesh Roshan not intervened as the director wanted Vivek Oberoi to play the baddie.

Talking to a daily, Rakesh said, “It was not possible for Hrithik to play the antagonist. He is already playing three roles. I had Vivek in mind for the part right from the start. He has the right physique and body language for it.”

Mumbai: After ‘Aarakshan’ and ‘Race 2’, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan will work together again for the latter`s home production tentatively titled ‘Cocktail’.
 
“Deepika and I are doing three movies together this year. It`s not something we planned but it so happened. So now we have to make an effort to look different and act differently in each movie, which is a challenge and interesting in itself,” Saif told reporters on Monday.

To be made under Illuminati Films, the love story will go on floors next week and Homi Adajania will wield the megaphone for the movie.

Prabhas wants changes to be done for Rebel . As he tasted big success with Mr.Perfect and won praise from family and youth audiences, he doesn’t want to do an out and out mass masala film at this juncture. Prabhas signed this Rebel in the direction of Raghavendra Lawrence couple of months ago and the film was to start its shoot last month.

Mumbai: Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Ladies & Gentleman’ has been picked up by a film corporation for whopping 28 crore. The film is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and it is supposed to a comedy.
 
According to trade sources, “Ash and Abhi still hold a curiosity with the audience. ‘Guru’ was a hit, while ‘Raavan’ a flop. However, the audience likes seeing them together. So ‘Ladies & Gentleman’, that will go on the floors in June, is already sold.”

The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin in June.

Mumbai: Looks like South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal is all set to play the female lead in Vishal Bhardwaj’s screen adaption of bestseller ‘Two States’. The film is based on the book by Chetan Bhagat and Sajid Nadiadwala is producing it. What more, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is going to play the lead role.
 
Asin is already working in Sajid’s other production, ‘Houseful 2’. The actress has apparently met the producer and director Vishal Bhardwaj to discuss the story of the story. Needless to say, the actress is very excited about the offer.

Veteran artiste Nutan Prasad (65) passed away today (March 30) due to prolonged illness, on his way to the Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. Born as Tadivada Varaprasad in Kaikalur on Dec. 12, 1945, Nutan Prasad started his acting career with the play Naa Votu in Guntur and his most stage play was Gaalivaana.  In 1973, he made acting debut in films with Bapu directed Andala Ramudu. Needa Leni Aadadi (1974), and Bapu’s  Muthyala Muggu (1975) made his position secure. His role of Satan in Bapu’s Rajadhiraju (1980) brought him popular and critical appreciation.

Mumbai: Bollywood buxom babe Kangna Ranaut is all set to play Abhishek Bachchan’s wife in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Department’.

Apparently, RGV recently met Kangna to work out the modalities of his new project. Talking to a daily about Kangna, an elated Varma said, “I wondered why we haven’t worked together as yet! Kangna very much fits into my vision as a filmmaker. She is intense and emotional on screen. I’ve wanted to work with her, from the time she appeared in ‘Gangster’ and ‘Woh Lamhe’. But I didn’t want to cast her in anything insignificant. The role had to justify her presence.”

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta have reportedly mended their fences.

Apparently, Shilpa and Preity became rivals when they became owners of their IPL franchise team respectively. However, things became uglier when Preity Zinta had asked someone in the film industry about how does Shilpa Shetty manages to wear such fine designer clothes and carry expensive handbags and accessories. In a way, Preity enquired about Raj Kundra’s financial status.

But when this gossip reached Shilpa Shetty, she was taken aback by such an inappropriate question and shot back at bubbly actress by saying that who supports and pays for Preity Zinta.

SYDNEY: Ricky Ponting, the most successful captain in 134 years of Test cricket, resigned as the Australian Test and one-day skipper on Tuesday but will continue as a batsman with the team.

The 36-year-old, who has led Australia in one-day internationals since 2002 and Tests since 2004, has been under increasing pressure after an Ashes defeat to England and a quarterfinal exit as defending champions at the World Cup.

“Today I’ve decided to stand down as captain of the Test team and the one-day team as of now,” he told a news conference at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Mumbai: Popular Telugu star Rana Daggubatti is actress Bipasha Basu`s leading man in Rohan Sippy`s `Dum Maro Dum` set in the backdrop of the drug racket in Goa.

Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan is plays the protagonist in the film, which releases on April 22.

The pairing was being kept under wraps till the initial promos and interviews. Sources insist that the makers did not want to reveal the pairing and instead were keen to build on this coy plot till the promo of a song `te-amo` was on air.
