Victory Venkatesh’s ongoing remake of the super hit Malayalam flick Bodyguard has been reportedly titled Ganga – The Bodyguard. It is directed by Gopichand Malineni under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions. Its shooting is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad.

Notably, Ganga was the title registered for Amma Rajasekhar’s Venky starrer some time back, but the film was shelved. Sources said that producer Bellamkonda has acquired the title from Amma Rajasekhar for the ongoing remake.

One of the main reasons why Ganga is taken for the remake is said to be that  all of Venkatesh’s films with female titles were immensely successful at the box office.(galatta)

The 42-year-old actress said that being able to play a stereotypically-male part was one of the “most fun” roles she has ever had, reported a website.

“I enjoyed it thoroughly. I really did. It was probably one of the most fun roles I`ve ever had. I`d have to say. That`s usually a guy in a movie. That`s a part that a man plays. So, it was really fun to sort of be a woman and play that with absolutely no apologies,” Aniston said.

Mumbai: They are finally heading to the altar! Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D`Souza are are all set to tie the knot later this year.

While no official announcements have been made, but the two made it quite apparent about their relationship at a recent awards function in Toronto. Riteish and Genelia walked hand in hand at the red carpet of the award ceremony. Genelia’s mother who was present at the event looked at her daughter and future son-in-law proudly.

Noida: Model-actress and cousin of a Bollywood actor, Meera Chopra has been arrested in connection with the death of a 28-year-old married woman in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

The deceased, Ruchi Bhuttan was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her posh DLF City house. While victim Ruchi’s in-laws claimed it was suicide, her relatives suspected foul play and blamed her husband Sumit Bhuttan.

Apparently, Sumit has an extra marital relationship with Meera Chopra.

While Sumit was booked yesterday, Gurgaon police arrested model Meera Chopra today and have registered a case against her under Section 120B of the IPC.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that unearthing process of Rs 1 lakh crore treasure trove inside Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala should be filmed and photographed.

It expressed serious concern on the fight that has begun over the treasure trove. The apex court proposed appointment of a curator of a museum to preserve the treasure being unearthed from the temple.

The court said that it will pass orders relating to conservation of the artefacts after taking opinion of experts on Friday.

It would also decide which item should be displayed in the museum and others to be kept in safe vaults.

On the last day shoot of devotional movie, Sri Ramarajyam, Nayanatara broke down on the sets and could not control her tears of joy. An automobile company that had Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador to promote its car is now contemplating legal action against Aamir Khan for making derogatory remarks about their car in his controversial flick.

The dialogue that has scandalised the company goes like this- “This car is so bad that it looks like something that would result if a donkey f***ed a rickshaw.”

Actor Sivaji is doing a movie on Chandan movies banner. This romantic comedy is being produced by C D Nagendra. The director of the film Kiran, announced that the movie has been titled ‘Gurudu’.

Sivaji plays the role of a software engineer and Ritu Kaur is the heroine in this movie.

“We found the title apt for this film.Sivaji has delivered his career best performance in this movie. His scenes with Kota Srinivasa Rao are hilarious.We will complete shooting songs for the movie by the end of this month and release the film in the next month” director Nagendra said.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has denied signing a film based on Chetan Bhagat`s book `2 States: The Story of My Marriage`, which is said to feature superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

“I am not in discussion with anyone regarding `2 States`. There is a great team involved, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bharadwaj and I definitely look forward to working with them at some point in the future,” Priyanka told reporters.

“However at this time, I am just committed to completing my existing projects on hand, which include Kunal Kohli`s next `Barfee`, and `Krrish 2`,” added the 28-year-old.

In case related to financial dealings with the Bhanu, the prime suspect in murder of faction leader Maddelachervu Suri. Two days ago, Kalyan approached court through his lawyer to seek anticipatory bail but he didn’t get and Police have been looking for him to arrest and they found he’s hiding in Chennai city.
