Golimaar shooting disrupted

Pro-Telangana activists disrupted the shooting of producer-director Puri Jagannath’s upcoming Gopichand starrer Golimaar at Rytu Bazar in Kukatpally, Hyderabad on Monday.
 
The protesters, led by local Telangana United Front leaders, surrounded the unit and raised slogans against actor Roja, accusing her of working against the Telangana agitation and asked her to leave the place. As the agitators refused to listen to the unit members trying to pacify them, director Puri Jagannath and actors Roja and Priyamani were forced to stop shooting.
 
The Kukatpally police rushed to the place and asked the film unit team to vacate the place as they did not secure permission for shooting. Produced by the director himself under the banner of Vaishno Academy, Golimaar will grace screens in April 2010.(galatta)
