Imtiaz Ali to act in Sushil Rajpal`s `Old Monk`

Delhi: Director Imtiaz Ali couldn`t act in Sushil Rajpal`s “Antardwand” but is all set to work in his next film “Old Monk”.

“Old Monk” moves between Mumbai and Bihar and will show the smart and suave Imtiaz in a new light.

Rajpal had first approached Imtiaz for the lead role for “Antardwand”, based on a true story of groom kidnapping in Bihar, but he couldn`t accept the offer as he was busy with his directorial venture, said a press statement.

Imtiaz made it up by going out of his way to cast the lead for “Antardwand” and even promoted the National Award winning film in a unique way – he dressed as a groom for the promotion of the film.
