Tell us about Virodhi

Just saw the film two days ago and I feel proud now that I did right decision regarding the movie’s selection. If I am not wrong, this is the first film in Telugu to deal a Naxalism subject in this manner. It is told in intelligent way with highly emotional charge.

Megastar turned politician Chiranjeevi has made it official that he won’t be putting on make-up to his face. London: British actress Keira Knightley is set to send the adrenalin rush with her forthcoming sexually charged film ‘A Dangerous Method’, in which she is shot getting spanked before making love.

The risqué stills have been released from the film, which is set in the early 1900s, reports a newspaper.

In one of the scenes, the 26-year-old star is seen dressed in a white corseted dress, and belted by actor Michael Fassbender, who plays her psychiatrist.

The two are then shot in a passionate love scene in the film based around the psychiatrist’s turbulent relationship with Knightley’s character and his mentor Sigmund Freud.

Mumbai: While her peers are donning bold avatars onscreen, south Indian actress Asin has said no to wearing bikini on-screen. Call it being conservative, but Asin has made it clear to the makers of ‘Housefull’ that she will not be wearing a bikini in the sequel of the film.

The first part of the hit film had Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan donning the sexy swimsuit for a song. The sequel will star Asin and Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez along with Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Ritesh Deshmukh.

Producer Singanamala Ramesh, who produced big budgeted films like Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja and Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli , was arrested by Hyderabad Police in the wee hours of Friday (June 24, 2011) at his residence in Chennai. Police found he had murky financial dealings with Bhanu, the prime suspect in the case of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri. Both Ramesh and his wife were arrested but his wife was released immediately as she got bail but Ramesh was denied bail.

Earlier Kajal Agarwal was taken but her dates are no longer available as the movie got delayed, so producer Ganesh Babu approached Sruthi Haasan and she has agreed to do the movie. In a couple of days, she will be signing the movie officially.

Gabbar Singh, remake of Bollywood blockbuster, Dabaangg, will be launched next month. Harish Shankar is the director.

Kaali is the title that has force and recall value. This is the name that is being considered for Pawan Kalyan’s latest film, sources told us. Director Vishnu Vardhan initially titled his film as The Shadow with Pawan Kalyan but when negative feedback came in, producer and director said it is just a working title. A little birdie from Kolkota, where the film’s current shoot is going on, informed us that Kaali is seriously being considered as the title.

Washington: Kim Cattrall has revealed she was upset as men had to ‘catcall’ her during a dance number in her new movie ‘Meet Monica Velour’.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress said that one scene where she was heckled by the men in a bar affected her because of the ‘rawness’ of it.

“It was exhilarating really, at the beginning, but then it got tricky. The insults from the audience came about five or six times, since had to get different angles,” a website quoted her as telling the Scotsman.

Mumbai: After gaining critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Ishqiya’, Vidya Balan will not be seen in the sequel of the film. The filmmakers have approached Madhuri Dixit for the film instead.

The news has come as a surprise to many, as Vidya’s inclusion in the sequel was a forgone conclusion. The actress even attended the party where Vishal Bhardwaj announced ‘Ishqiya 2’.

While Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi will be seen in the sequel, some other actress will play the lead role.

Dil Raju’s multi-starrer, starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh in the lead, has been confirmed. Mahesh Babu heard the story narrated by director Srikanth Addala recently and has given his green signal to the project.

Although Dil Raju is waiting for the right time to announce the project, sources in film circles have confirmed that Mahesh Babu has already signed on the dotted line. Senior actress-politician Jayasudha, who is serving as Secunderabad MLA, has been hospitalized on Tuesday.
