Just saw the film two days ago and I feel proud now that I did right decision regarding the movie’s selection. If I am not wrong, this is the first film in Telugu to deal a Naxalism subject in this manner. It is told in intelligent way with highly emotional charge.

Saina Nehwal enters Indonesian Open final

JAKARTA: Defending champion Saina Nehwal inched closer to a third successive Indonesian Open Super Series title after advancing to the finals with a hard-fought victory over Chinese Taipei’s Shao Chieh Cheng on Saturday.

The fourth-seeded Indian won 21-14, 14-21, 21-17 in a 45-minute battle against giant-killer Cheng, who had created quite a flutter by upstaging top seed Shixian Wang and seventh seed Xin Liu earlier in the tournament.

Risque stills from ‘A Dangerous Method’ show Keira Knightley getting spanked

London: British actress Keira Knightley is set to send the adrenalin rush with her forthcoming sexually charged film ‘A Dangerous Method’, in which she is shot getting spanked before making love.

The risqué stills have been released from the film, which is set in the early 1900s, reports a newspaper.

In one of the scenes, the 26-year-old star is seen dressed in a white corseted dress, and belted by actor Michael Fassbender, who plays her psychiatrist.

The two are then shot in a passionate love scene in the film based around the psychiatrist’s turbulent relationship with Knightley’s character and his mentor Sigmund Freud.

Mumbai: While her peers are donning bold avatars onscreen, south Indian actress Asin has said no to wearing bikini on-screen. Call it being conservative, but Asin has made it clear to the makers of ‘Housefull’ that she will not be wearing a bikini in the sequel of the film.

Singanamala Ramesh in police custody

Producer Singanamala Ramesh, who produced big budgeted films like Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja and Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli , was arrested by Hyderabad Police in the wee hours of Friday (June 24, 2011) at his residence in Chennai. Police found he had murky financial dealings with Bhanu, the prime suspect in the case of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri. Both Ramesh and his wife were arrested but his wife was released immediately as she got bail but Ramesh was denied bail.

Singanamala Ramesh began his career in the film industry as film financier and soon turned producer and made big budgeted movies in both Telugu and Tamil languages. (telugucinema)

Sruthi Haasan hits the jackpot. She bags another biggie in Telugu. She will be playing lead heroine role opposite Pawan Kalyan in Gabbar Singh . Earlier Kajal Agarwal was taken but her dates are no longer available as the movie got delayed, so producer Ganesh Babu approached Sruthi Haasan and she has agreed to do the movie. In a couple of days, she will be signing the movie officially.

Gabbar Singh, remake of Bollywood blockbuster, Dabaangg, will be launched next month. Harish Shankar is the director.

Sruthi Haasan is currently working with NTR in Churakatti and Siddharth in O My Friend and Surya in a Tamil film.

Washington: Kim Cattrall has revealed she was upset as men had to ‘catcall’ her during a dance number in her new movie ‘Meet Monica Velour’.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress said that one scene where she was heckled by the men in a bar affected her because of the ‘rawness’ of it.

Dil Raju’s multi-starrer, starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh in the lead, has been confirmed. Mahesh Babu heard the story narrated by director Srikanth Addala recently and has given his green signal to the project.

Although Dil Raju is waiting for the right time to announce the project, sources in film circles have confirmed that Mahesh Babu has already signed on the dotted line. Jayasudha hospitalized

Senior actress-politician Jayasudha, who is serving as Secunderabad MLA, has been hospitalized on Tuesday.

Jayasudha’s personal assistant confirmed that she was rushed to hospital in the capital after she suffered gastric problems. She is currently undergoing treatment and will be discharged in a couple of days.

Sydney `SlutWalk` sends ‘dress no invitation for sexual assault’ message

Melbourne: Even as rain deterred plans of thousands of women who were to turn up at Sydney’s SlutWalk protest, those who did make it managed to make the event a powerful one.
 
Despite the low turnout, the message was loud and clear: women`s dress is not an invitation for sexual assault.

Most of the 200-odd people who gathered at Town Hall were rugged up for the chilly weather.

Some women were scantily clad and many men in attendance were dressed in women`s clothes.

They carried signs with the slogans: “Proud and happy slut”, “Blame rapists not boobs” and one woman had written on her breasts: “Can`t touch these without consent”.
